Incident Summary:

10/14/1999: Lubomir Belfi, the publisher of Markiza magazine was injured when unidentified assailants blocked his car's path as he was leaving a hotel near Bratislava, Slovakia. The perpetrators firing at Belfi with automatic submachine guns, wounding him in his legs. Reports stated that one attacker was captured by police, but no further information on this was disclosed.
