11/16/1998: A gas bomb made of three gas canisters and dynamite exploded in central Athens, Greece, causing damage to an apartment building, but no injuries. The makeshift bomb exploded outside the office of Sifis Valyrakis, a socialist lawmaker and former Public Order Minister. The explosion sparked a fire, which firefighters quickly extinguished. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
