Additional Information The governor of Bubanza, Gilbert Kayonde, blamed the attack on the village of Gihanga on the National Liberation Forces, the armed wing of the Palipehutu Hutu "liberation" party and one of several rebel Hutu groups. He said the attackers came from the neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
