10/03/1998: Mr. Akmal Saidov, a Russian government official, was strangled in Sleptsovsk, Chechnya. A note, signed by the Wolves of Islam, was attached to the body with a threat "to those cooperating with the FSB [Russian Federal Security Service] against the Chechen Republic."
