Incident Summary:

07/27/1998: An armored vehicle carrying Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) peacekeepers blew up after hitting an anti-tank mine outside of Gagiloni near the Georgian-Abkhaz border. Two peacekeepers were killed and three others were injured. It was uncertain if the mine was placed there to target the peacekeepers. No group or individual claimed credit for the attack.
