Incident Summary:

01/23/1998: Unnamed Loyalists murdered a Catholic man in Belfast, Northern Ireland, just hours after the Ulster Freedom Fighters (UFF) called off its latest campaign of violence. The victim, gas worker Liam Conway, aged 39, was laying pipes in a Loyalist area off the Crumlin Road when he was ambushed by a lone gunman who fired two rounds at his head. No one else was injured in the attack.
