6/15/1978: One member of the Jewish Defense League (JDL) was convicted of bombing the Doheny Plaza theatre in Beverly Hills, California, United States. There were no casualties but the building sustained an estimated $1,000 in damages. The theatre was schedule to show Vanessa Redgrave's controversial film, "The Palestinian" which the JDL deemed to be anti-Israel.
