START to begin monthly series highlighting Dataverse data collections

While the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START) sponsors a total 19 databases, the most notable being the Global Terrorism Database. 15 of its datasets are currently uploaded to Harvard University's Institute for Quantitative Social Science Dataverse Network, the world's largest collection of social science research data.

In an effort to highlight these 15 databases, including the individual contributions and impact each one has had on the terrorism studies field, START will publish a monthly database spotlight beginning with a look at their Profiles of Perpetrators of Terrorism in the United States dataset.
