Research Opportunity for Faculty from Minority Serving Institutions

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is inviting faculty from Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Hispanic Serving Institutions, Tribal Colleges and Universities and Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian Serving Universities to apply for the 2008 competition cycle of the DHS Summer Research Team (SRT) Program for Minority Serving Institutions.

The SRT Program brings faculty and student research teams to DHS Centers of Excellence, including START, for paid research appointments of 10 to 12 weeks during the summer of 2008. The faculty/student teams work with investigators from the Centers of Excellence on original research projects in line with the mission of the Centers and the mission of DHS.

Note that the research teams must agree to be in residence at their selected Center of Excellence throughout the course of the summer.
