The Academy of Criminal Justice Science (ACJS) has selected START Director Dr. Gary LaFree as the 2016 recipient of the Gerhard O.W. Mueller Award for Outstanding Contributions to Comparative/International Criminal Justice.
Conferred annually, it is the ACJS International Section’s most distinguished award. LaFree is recognized for his scholarship, leadership and service to the field.
