02/23/2020: Assailants attacked an army camp in Bambara Maounde, Timbuktu, Mali. At least two assailants and three soldiers were killed and five soldiers were injured in the ensuing clash. Additionally, two soldiers were reported missing. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected the involvement of Muslim extremists.
