Incident Summary:
05/24/2019: Assailants attacked an army barracks in Balgaram, Lac, Chad. At least one soldier and 23 assailants were killed in the ensuing clash. It is unknown whether the incident resulted in any injuries. This was one of two coordinated attacks near the army barracks overnight. The Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, also known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), claimed responsibility for the incidents.
