05/19/2019: Assailants launched rockets at the United States embassy in Karkh, Baghdad, Iraq. There were no reported casualties in the attack. Operations of Martyr Ali Mansour claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was carried out "in retaliation for US President Donald Trump pardoning a soldier over the 2009 killing of an Iraqi detainee." Sources also suspected the involvement of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
