08/16/2018: Assailants attacked a police checkpoint in Sindon Bayabo, Ilagan, Isabela, Philippines. No casualties were reported but a police officer was abducted during the attack. The officer, identified as Danny Maur, was released on August 18, 2018. The New People's Army (NPA) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that they had abducted the police officer because he was participating in illegal activities.
